TOLGUS SUB-Aqua Club

The TOLGUS SUB-AQUA CLUB became associated with the British Sub-Aqua Club of Great Britain in 1971 when Branch No 0778 was formed. However, the Club was originally formed in the late 1960s by a group of enthusiasts diving from a small fishing boat out of Portreath. At that time “dry” training was given in members’ homes and “wet” (and frequently very cold) training took place in Portreath Harbour.

Comfortable training Facility

All training is undertaken in the warmth and conviviality of local swimming pools, We offer courses for new divers as well as skill development courses for existing members. Qualified divers are always welcomed and, if necessary, appropriate cross-over training is provided. We meet every Thursday evening. If you want to come along then let us know and we will keep an eye out for you.

We are a small and friendly local dive club with a vast knowledge of the local dive sites and feature in the BSAC-Directory of Clubs, a national publication and, as such, are regularly contacted by “up country” Clubs eager to gain the advantage of our experience and local know-how.
